Sports Carnival 2011

Dear all,
The Student Council will be organising this year's Sports Carnival. The project was approved by the Chief Executive on the 6th of June, and we are currently at the initial stage of planning. The Organising Committee also welcomes ideas and assistance from all students of Stamford Malaysia.

Teacher's Day Celebration

Dear all,

The Student Council will be organizing a Teacher’s Day Celebration to revere our lecturers for their dedication and allegiance towards the enhancement of our learning experience here in Stamford College, and their endless efforts throughout the year.

All lecturers are invited and all students are more than welcome to join us in this event.

Our newly formed Stamford College Band will also be performing!

Date: 16th May 2011 (Monday)

Venue: Auditorium, main campus

Time: 12 Noon- 1.30PM

Orientation

The Orientation for the new students of Stamford College on the 12th May 2011 was indeed another successful event by the Student Council. The Stamford Friends Link-Up Program was introduced to the students which allows them to liaise and seek advice from their assigned seniors from various courses. Vice President Harjit Dhillon and Vice President Shinni Phua were among the main people involved in the orientation together with President Michael Woo Zi Wei who launched the college band on that day. The band performed a number of songs before everyone adjourned.

College Band

Following the success of the Limelight singing competition which we co-organized with the School of Media, we found that many students of Stamford College are not only musically inclined, but are also fabulous singers. With that, members of the Student Council have been working endlessly on the formation of the College Band directly under the purview of the Student Council.

The launching of the band will take place on the 12th of May in conjunction with the Orientation for newly enrolled students. This, together with a budget of RM550 has been approved by the Chief Operating Officer of Stamford College.
